An Important Update About the Overman for Congress Campaign – a message from Kimberly Overman to supporters

I wanted to share an important update with you. Due to Florida’s new congressional maps, I will be continuing this campaign in Florida’s new redistricted Congressional District 12. While the Governor and the majority Florida State legislators have attempted to silence voters’ voices in the Tampa Bay region, I remain committed to fighting for our region and for good governance in Washington D.C.

The Hillsborough County portion of Congressional District 12 is my home and a Democratic stronghold within the newly drawn district lines. Being rooted here—where both I live and where our campaign office is located in Seminole Heights—allows us to work together to ensure that Democratic voters’ voices are protected, respected, and heard.

Here’s how you can help as we move forward together:

• Sign or help collect petitions: Petitions must be submitted by May 11, and every signature matters. If you live in Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, or Pinellas Counties of Florida, please sign and mail it out today—and if you can help collect signatures this week by May 9th, there is no more important way to support this campaign right now. If you want to drop it by the office, just email us and will send you the information you need.

• Volunteer with us: Join our field teams, help with events, and be part of our campaign office or outreach teams—whether you have an hour or can jump in regularly, there’s a role for you. Host a house gathering or public venue, we need to make sure voters know their voice and their vote matters.

She has called the Tampa Bay region home for over 40 years. Kimberly brings decades of experience in financial planning and public service. She previously held the Certified Financial Planner professional designation and retired it when she retired from practice. 

Kimberly served as a Hillsborough County Commissioner (District 7 At‐Large) from 2018 to 2022, where she championed affordable housing, transportation equity, and public health initiatives and delivered results for the community.  Her leadership style is grounded in listening, coalition‐building, and solving real problems.
