Kimberly Overman has earned the endorsement of the AFL-CIO. Kimberly has worked alongside organized labor throughout her public service career, and in her campaigns for Hillsborough County Commission she was supported by the West Central Florida Labor Council and affiliated locals including Teamsters 79, IBEW 824, Operating Engineers 487, Laborers 517, Iron Workers 397, and UA Plumbers & Pipefitters 123. In Congress, she has committed to co-sponsoring the PRO Act, defending prevailing wage protections under Davis-Bacon, expanding registered apprenticeships, and strengthening OSHA enforcement — including heat illness protections that matter in a state where outdoor work carries real risk.
