TAMPA, FL — As global instability and economic uncertainty continue to hit families across Tampa Bay, Congressional candidate Kimberly Overman called for steady, accountable leadership that puts local families first — not politics in Washington.
“In Tampa Bay, people aren’t talking about partisan talking points — they’re talking about grocery bills, insurance premiums, housing costs, and keeping their families secure,” Overman said. “What’s happening globally and in Washington directly affects families here in Hillsborough, Polk, and eastern Pasco counties.”
Rising insurance costs and housing pressures have placed unique strain on Florida families, particularly seniors, working parents, and people on fixed incomes. Overman said that turbulent leadership at the federal level only adds to that pressure instead of helping families regain stability.
A Clear Contrast
Overman drew a sharp contrast with her opponent, Republican Congressman Laurel Lee, pointing to a pattern of siding with party leadership in Washington rather than advocating for local economic stability.
“Congresswoman Lee has consistently supported an agenda that creates chaos and uncertainty, while offering little relief for our rising costs here at home,” Overman said. “Tampa Bay families need a representative focused on lowering risk — not rubber‑stamping reckless decisions.”
Overman emphasized her background balancing complex budgets and helping families navigate uncertainty as a fiduciary investment advisor/financial planner and former Hillsborough County Commissioner.
“I’ve spent decades helping families plan responsibly through uncertain times. In Congress, I’ll fight for stable leadership, strong alliances, and real solutions so Tampa Bay families can breathe a little easier.”
